Job summary

UGI Utilities, Inc. seeks a Telemetry Supervisor to lead regional personnel responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of telemetry equipment supporting the SCADA system across UGI distribution assets.

The role ensures continuous monitoring of gas system parameters for control and billing functions. The successful candidate will manage budgets, lead a dispersed technical crew, and evaluate new telemetry technologies while coordinating with Area Engineers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

College degree in a technical field, or college degree in a business field with significant position related technical field experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of telemetry, SCADA, instrumentation, electronics, or gas measurement with supervisory or crew lead experience.
Valid driver's license required for travel to field locations.
Working knowledge of SCADA host systems, RTUs, electronic volume correctors, and remote communications platforms.
Experience with Metretek/Power Spring, SAP, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Prior natural gas utility experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of SCADA field equipment at region sites and gate stations.
Manage human resources, timekeeping, overtime, and on-call coverage for critical conditions.
Develop and manage budgets for region telemetry and instrumentation; coordinate with engineers and stakeholders.
Track equipment failures and maintain spare parts and inventory to keep systems operational.
Oversee Metretek field units and evaluate new telemetry technologies for implementation.
