Job summary

UGI Utilities, Inc. seeks a Telemetry Technician to install, configure, program, troubleshoot, and maintain SCADA hardware and related equipment.

The role includes installation of Metretek components at field level and remote operation of valves and related gear. Qualifications include an associate degree in electronics, 2+ years of experience, and the ability to pass a general knowledge test on computers, programming, communications, and electronics with 80% or higher.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or better in electronics or related field is desirable.
• At least 2 years of experience in telemetry, SCADA, or related systems.
• Must pass a general knowledge test on computers, programming, communications and electronics (≥80%).

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and maintain SCADA and distribution measurement equipment.
• Analyze and repair telemetry problems and failures.
• Install new equipment in SCADA and distribution systems and document work.
• Provide technical assistance for Metretek networks and related systems.
• Support other departments on regulation, pressure control, and related equipment.
