WSP USA is seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer – Lead Professional for our Boise, ID office with consideration for Clarkston, WA; Portland, OR; San Diego, CA; Denver, CO; Salt Lake City, UT; and Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

You will provide technical leadership on ESSP projects, guiding design, testing, and commissioning of substations, RTUs, HMIs, and protection systems. Strong problem solving and cross‑team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 7–10 years of post‑education electrical engineering in power generation, transmission and distribution.
  • Willingness to travel and adapt to changing project needs.
  • Commitment to safety policies and workplace conduct.
  • Ability to lead design reviews and ensure code/compliance adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical infrastructure design reviews for mid to large projects.
  • Prepare data transfer points lists and develop HMI screens for SCADA.
  • Design network paths for RTUs, IEDs, HMIs and substations.
  • Specify communication networks including fiber, microwave, and PLC paths.
  • Develop and implement logic/control schemes for power system equipment.
