Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead automation for solid rocket motor production at the McHenry plant. You will own the SCADA layer from PLC integration to Ignition applications and plant-floor visibility.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in controls, expert Siemens PLC programming, and experience with Ignition SCADA. The role demands strong electrical and safety knowledge and US person clearance. Equity grants are part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
4+ years of controls and automation experience in production.
Expert in Siemens PLC programming (Ladder and Structured Text).
Proficient with Ignition SCADA (Perspective, tag architecture).
Familiar with NFPA70e electrical safety practices.

Responsibilities

Design, commission, and upgrade control systems for Solid Rocket Motor production equipment.
Architect, write, and debug Siemens PLC code for high-volume manufacturing.
Generate and enforce internal standards for control systems architectures and safety buyoffs.
Integrate FactoryOS software into automation equipment and production lines.
Build and maintain SCADA applications in Ignition (Perspective, tags, historian).
Lead root-cause analyses for automation failures and drive improvements.
