Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for its Rocket Motor Systems team in McHenry, MS. You will design, commission, and upgrade control systems for high‑volume production equipment and ensure code quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across manufacturing lines.

The role requires deep Siemens PLC expertise, servo drive tuning, and strong OT/SCADA collaboration. A U.S. person is required for access to export-controlled information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, CS, ME, or EE.
• 4+ years of controls and automation experience in production.
• Expert in Siemens PLC programming (Ladder and Structured Text).
• Proficient with servo drives / VFD configuration and PID tuning.
• Knowledge of ProfiNET, ProfiSAFE, Ethernet/IP protocols.
• Experience integrating with SCADA and OT networks.
• Familiar with NFPA70e electrical safety practices.
• U.S. Person due to export-controlled information access.

Responsibilities

• Design, commission, and upgrade control systems for Solid Rocket Motor production equipment.
• Architect, write, and debug Siemens PLC code with organized, maintainable structures.
• Generate and enforce internal standards for control systems architectures and safety buyoffs.
• Integrate internal and external FactoryOS software into automation equipment and lines.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures.
• Install, configure, and tune servo drives / VFDs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and drive improvements.
