American Water seeks a Sr Automation & Controls Engineer (SCADA) to implement and support the automation infrastructure across facilities. You will develop, deploy, and troubleshoot control systems, collaborating with design engineers, operations, and vendors to ensure reliable, compliant solutions.

The role demands 5+ years of SCADA/DCS experience, strong PLC/RTU programming skills, and proficiency with HMI design. Travel within multi-district areas and on-call support may be required.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, repair and installation of Process Control Systems (SCADA and DCS).
• Experience with data communications systems, protocols, wired and wireless networks, and telemetry.
• Four-year degree or equivalent experience; certifications may be substituted.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, maintain and support automation and SCADA infrastructure.
• Develop programming and configuration for automation systems and perform upgrades.
• Coordinate with vendors and system integrators to ensure project success.
• Provide second level support and on-call assistance when required.
