Job summary

Automatic Systems Company is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead the development, startup, and commissioning of municipal water and wastewater SCADA projects. You will program PLCs and HMIs, validate with FAT tests, and coordinate with customers and subcontractors on large-scale systems.

Requires 10+ years in automation, PLC/HMI expertise, and strong communication. Travel within the Midwest, with some day trips and overnight stays, will be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industrial automation and control systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Automation engineering or related field.
• Proven experience leading municipal SCADA projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, startup, and commissioning of large-scale SCADA projects.
• Program PLC/HMI and validate through FAT and testing.
• Coordinate with customers, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure cybersecurity best practices and network segmentation.
• Prepare project documentation per standards.
