Job summary

Celtic Bank is seeking a Business Development Officer to oversee SBA customer relationships, including business development, risk management, operations, underwriting, and relationship management.

The role requires sourcing SBA loans nationwide, cultivating brokers, and delivering financing solutions to small business owners; you will drive growth and manage end-to-end deal cycles with Salesforce support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five or more years of sales experience in the financial services industry.
• Strong SBA industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate SBA loans, equipment leasing, and ABL financing transactions nationwide.
• Develop and cultivate relationships with customers and brokers marketing to small business owners.
• Utilize networking and referrals to generate business leads and identify potential borrowers.
• Develop and expand market penetration in assigned locations and markets.
• Demonstrate the value of the bank's lending philosophy for small business owners nationwide.
• Collaborate on marketing and sales strategy with leadership and marketing group.
• Generate leads, develop financing applications, and submit packages to underwriting.
• Present loan credits to the Credit Committee and obtain commitments.
• Coordinate transaction funding with Operations and achieve annual production goals.
• Active use of Salesforce and other origination systems to support deal flow.
