Job summary

Enterprise Bank & Trust is seeking an SVP, SBA Business Development Officer to identify and close SBA loans in designated markets. The role focuses on business development, structuring loans and building a robust referral network with product partners to drive fee income and growth.

The candidate will maintain knowledge of SBA products, navigate regulatory requirements and negotiate favorable terms while ensuring adherence to policies and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related field.
• 5–10 years of related lending or financial experience.
• Knowledge of SBA underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and PC software proficiency.
• Ability to protect confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Identify, solicit and close new SBA loans through business development in assigned markets.
• Prospect, market, structure and originate SBA 7(a) and 504 loans.
• Refer and introduce opportunities to internal product partners.
• Establish and maintain a network of referral sources for SBA borrowers.
• Obtain complete financial packages and prepare submission packages for credit analysis.
• Deliver loan packages to borrowers for signatures and funding.
• Maintain knowledge of SBA products and competitive offerings.
• Differentiate Enterprise Bank & Trust in the marketplace.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, laws, and SBA procedures.
• Negotiate on behalf of the bank balancing risk and shareholder value.
• Understand BSA/AML/OFAC requirements and participate in training.
