Job summary

Busey Bank seeks a motivated SBA Business Development Officer II to originate SBA 7(a) loans and related SBA products across a multi-state footprint. You will act as the SBA subject matter expert, build relationships with internal partners and external COIs, and drive a robust pipeline and commission-based incentives.

Responsibilities include guiding clients through loan programs, structuring deals, and collaborating with credit, underwriting, and closing teams to maximize revenue potential

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SBA loan programs and related processes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proven sales, customer service, and negotiation abilities.
• Experience moving SBA loans from origination to closing.
• Ability to develop and manage referral networks.

Responsibilities

• Originate SBA lending opportunities and build a referral pipeline.
• Partner with bankers and COIs to grow loan volume.
• Guide clients through SBA programs and financing options.
• Coordinate with underwriting and closing teams.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies for SBA lending.
