Job summary

Aleron seeks a Senior Network Design Engineer to support satellite ground systems and mission-critical network infrastructure. You’ll handle requirements analysis, architecture, design, implementation, verification, and maintenance across enterprise-scale environments.

This role in Scottsdale, AZ involves travel to customer locations in the U.S. and internationally, supporting deployment activities while maintaining advanced network and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required at time of hire.
• 5+ years of network engineering/design experience.
• Experience with routing, switching, firewall technologies, and TCP/IP.
• 3+ years supporting secure enterprise environments with Linux/Windows Server.
• Strong documentation of networks, diagrams, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure for satellite ground systems.
• Analyze requirements, architecture, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and storage; support security hardening.
• Analyze topologies, traffic, bandwidth, and capacity; perform diagnostics and root-cause actions.
• Create and maintain network and operations documentation; install equipment in data centers.
• Support deployment activities and travel to customer locations in the U.S. and abroad.
