Job summary

QinetiQ US invites a senior systems engineer to support the Space Development Agency's enterprise operations. You will review designs, test procedures, and provide feedback to ensure satellites meet SDA architecture while integrating multiple vendor software and hardware into a common ground ops station.

The role requires a BS in STEM, 10+ years in satellite/ground systems, and TS/SCI clearance; DoD/IC experience is a plus. On-site in Chantilly, VA with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics is required.
• Minimum 10+ years experience with satellite and ground systems.
• Technical and analytic understanding of satellite and ground system interaction.
• Experience in systems engineering and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong communication.
• TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice/input for national capability and SDA initiatives.
• Coordinate development of satellite system requirements and ground system impact.
• Provide systems engineering guidance for test plans and verification.
• Oversee integration and test of satellites into SDA's ground system network.
• Assess maturity and risk of changes to enable architecture capabilities.
• Develop CONOPS for new capabilities and coordinate across organizations.
