Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Design Engineer to design enterprise network infrastructure for satellite ground systems. You will analyze requirements, develop architectures, and validate implementations while supporting complex communications environments.

The role involves configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and storage, plus documenting systems and traveling to customer sites across the U.S. and abroad as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or related fields with a relevant degree.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, and TCP/IP architectures.
• Experience with Linux/Windows server environments and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure for satellite ground systems.
• Perform network requirements analysis, architecture development, validation and optimization.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, servers, storage, and security technologies.
• Analyze topologies, traffic, bandwidth and capacity; support secure networks and hardening.
• Create technical documentation and deploy equipment in data centers and racks.
• Travel to customer locations in the U.S. and internationally as needed.
