Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a mission operations engineer to perform real-time spacecraft and satellite flight operations across readiness, execution, and evaluation phases. You will develop detailed plans ensuring maximum mission support and provide technical direction for on-orbit activities.

The role requires strong system engineering, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills, plus active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.

Qualifications

• Ability to support a rotating work schedule.
• Prior operations experience in a mission or program context.
• Strong system engineering, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with a dynamic customer environment and relations skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications capabilities.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts real-time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during readiness, execution and evaluation.
• Develops plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support.
• Provides technical direction for on-orbit mission support and malfunction planning.
• Analyzes and validates software performance and telemetry data.
