Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks a mid-career Systems Engineer Sr. to support a protected comms program, focusing on the Ground Segment for an advanced satellite communications system. The ideal candidate will have a strong Systems Engineering background and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include architecture, integration, verification, and collaboration with software and hardware teams, plus documentation and interface control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle including MBSE, integration and test.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to system engineering activities: architecture, design, integration and test.
• Plan technically, integrate systems, verify and validate Ground Integration components.
• Translate requirements into hardware/software specifications via analyses and trade studies.
• Collaborate with software, hardware and test engineers to meet system requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation: diagrams, interface control documents, test plans.
