Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space, and Security’s Space and Launch Division in Schriever, CO seeks an Associate or Mid-Level Operations Engineer to support a team responsible for MILSATCOM ground systems and on-orbit operations for 10 satellites.

This role is fully onsite at Schriever SFB, CO and requires navigating a military base. Candidates must have an active Secret clearance and an engineering degree, with responsibilities including operations coordination, testing, and procedure validation.

Qualifications

• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI.
• 1+ years for level 2, 3+ years for level 3.
• Engineering systems experience.
• Software quality test and validation experience.
• Willingness to relocate if not within commuting distance of Schriever AFB.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on satellite operation and maintenance.
• Advise customers on ground command and control system operations.
• Participate in technical meetings, author database, and software change requests.
• Perform ground computer system software and database testing.
• Author, maintain, review, and support satellite operations procedures; configure/run simulations for validation.
• Conduct technical analyses and studies and provide recommendations.
• Perform satellite data trending and analysis to determine spacecraft performance.
• Provide problem solving support to other engineers in a team environment.
