Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Software Systems Engineer (Experienced/Senior) to join the Ground Software Engineering team in El Segundo, CA or Seal Beach, CA. You will develop high-performance C2 software, lead scaled agile DevSecOps activities, and deliver integrated solutions for Boeing Defense, Space & Security satellite systems.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance eligibility, 5+ years in space system software, and 3+ years in leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Must obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (Interim prestart, final post start) for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
• 5+ years of software development for space systems and ground segments performing command, control, mission planning and data processing.
• 5+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test).
• 3+ years of experience leading software development projects.
• 3+ years of experience with software development using either Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment and DevOps methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and design for high-performance Command and Control (C2) software solutions.
• Lead software development activities in the scaled agile methodology utilizing a DevSecOps environment.
• Support progress demonstration presentations to customer representatives and program/IPT leadership.
• Perform day-to-day activities in the areas Product Owner/Technical Lead, Release Train Engineer/Scrum Master, and/or Integration & Test lead.
• Support IPT by implementing a structured approach to defining and meeting a development and integration schedule alongside a rigorously managed cost baseline.
