Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U FI-CA Senior Consultant to deliver hands-on configuration and support for FI-CA within the utility meter-to-cash lifecycle. You will work with stakeholders, technical teams, and connected workstreams to ensure accurate processing and reconciliation.

The role requires strong functional knowledge of SAP IS-U FI-CA, experience with payment processing, and effective collaboration across Billing, Customer Service, and FI/CO teams. Travel up to 60% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Typically 3–4 years of SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including hands-on FI-CA.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience with payment processing, clearing, collections, dunning, open-item management, and FI-CA account determination.
• Understanding of FI-CA integration with SAP IS-U Billing and FI/CO General Ledger, including reconciliation and period-end considerations.
• Willingness to travel 40–60%.

Responsibilities

• Configuring and supporting FI-CA contract accounts, business-partner relationships, main and subtransactions, account determination, posting controls, and open-item processing.
• Designing and testing payment processing, payment lots, bank-statement interfaces, cash-desk flows, and payment allocation.
• Configuring clearing strategies, dunning, collections, installment plans, and other receivables processes.
• Supporting FI-CA events and BRF+ rules for process control, automation, and exception handling.
• Analyzing FI-CA integration with GL, reconciliation, period-end processing, and impacts to billing, tax, and customer-service transactions.
• Preparing functional designs, configuration documentation, test cases, process flows, and other project deliverables.
• Executing unit and integration testing and supporting user acceptance testing, regression testing, close-cycle validation, and defect resolution.
