Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Device and Work Management Functional Manager to lead the end-to-end design and delivery of SAP IS-U solutions for utilities operations.

You will own the Device and Work Management workstream, define the functional approach, align IS-U with metering and field operations, and guide cross-functional teams through discovery, design, testing, deployment and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Typically 4–6 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience with 3+ years leading a functional workstream.
• Proven experience delivering SAP IS-U Device & Work Management designs through implementation and go-live.
• Experience integrating SAP IS-U with AMI/MDMS, EDM, GIS, inventory, and mobile workforce solutions.
• Ability to translate complex utility requirements into scalable SAP IS-U designs.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the SAP IS-U Device and Work Management workstream from discovery to post-go-live stabilization.
• Define the functional design for device lifecycle management, meter reading, field service, and work execution.
• Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analyses, design reviews, and workshops.
• Drive end-to-end integration with AMI, MDMS, EDM, GIS, inventory, and SAP Plant Maintenance.
• Oversee device and field-work process design, testing, and operational handoffs.
• Coordinate cross-workstream dependencies and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Develop functional specs, documentation, and configuration standards.
• Coach functional consultants and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Oversee cutover, training, and production readiness activities.
• Build trusted client relationships and guide transformation priorities.
