Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant to design, configure, test, and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utility clients. You will translate billing requirements into functional designs and work with business and technical teams to ensure accurate, timely customer bills across the meter-to-cash process.

The role requires hands-on SAP IS-U Billing experience, familiarity with FI-CA, and the ability to travel 40–60% to meet client needs.

Qualifications

Strong functional knowledge of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing and the broader utility meter-to-cash process.
Hands-on configuration experience with SAP IS-U billing schemas, rates, billing master data, invoicing, and billing-cycle processes.
Understanding of utility rates, tariffs, billing cycles, billing exceptions, consumption-based billing, and related financial impacts.
Understanding of billing dependencies involving meter reading, device data, customer and contract data, Energy Data Management, and FI-CA.
Ability to translate business, regulatory, and operational requirements into practical SAP IS-U functional designs.
Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

Gather requirements for billing and invoicing across electric, gas, and water utilities.
Configure and support billing schema, rates, and master data.
Configure and validate invoicing, bill output, and downstream postings.
Analyze billing exceptions and determine root causes.
Prepare functional designs, configuration docs, test scenarios, and flows.
Execute unit and integration testing and support UAT and defect resolution.
