Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant to design, configure, test, and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utility clients across the US. You will translate billing requirements into functional designs and work with business stakeholders and technical teams to drive successful project delivery.

This role may require travel (40-60%). The position emphasizes strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills within a client-service environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Typically 3–4 years SAP IS‑U or SAP Utilities experience, incl. 3 years SAP IS‑U Billing & Invoicing.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience configuring SAP IS-U billing schemas, rates, facts, operands, and billing-cycle processes.
• Experience with bill-print, e-billing, payment, or other customer communication integrations.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements for billing and invoicing across electric, gas, and/or water utilities.
• Configure and support billing, invoicing, and downstream financial postings with FI-CA.
• Analyze billing exceptions and identify root causes involving meter reads and data.
• Prepare functional designs, configuration docs, test scenarios, and process flows.
• Coordinate end-to-end process impacts across multiple workstreams.
• Support time-of-use and other complex billing scenarios.
