Job summary

EY seeks an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant to design, configure, test, and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utility clients. You will translate billing requirements into functional designs and collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver accurate customer bills across the meter-to-cash lifecycle.

You will lead requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and cutover activities, with travel to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Typically 3–4 years SAP IS-U/Utilities experience, with at least 3 years hands-on SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, configuration, testing and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience configuring SAP IS-U billing schemas, rates, facts, operands, invoicing and billing-cycle processes.
• Experience supporting periodic & non-periodic billing, rebilling, reversals, adjustments and bill simulations.
• Understanding meter-to-cash processes and dependencies among Billing, Device Management, Energy Data Management, FI-CA, and related systems.
• Experience preparing functional specs, configuration docs, test scenarios, process flows and project documentation.
• Experience executing unit/integration testing and supporting UAT, regression testing, and production stabilization.
• Experience working with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to travel 40–60% to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analyzing billing requirements across electric, gas, and water utilities.
• Supporting functional design and configuration of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions.
• Configuring billing, invoicing, and downstream postings with FI-CA.
• Analyzing billing exceptions and root causes across data and system interfaces.
• Preparing functional designs, tests, and process flows for delivery teams.
• Executing unit/integration tests and supporting UAT and defect resolution.
• Coordinating end-to-end process impacts across related modules and teams.
• Supporting time-of-use and other complex billing scenarios; ensuring readiness and cutover.
