Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant to design, configure, test, and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utility clients across the meter-to-cash lifecycle. You will translate billing requirements into functional designs and collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure accurate, timely customer bills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Typically 3–4 years of SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including 3 years with SAP IS-U Billing.
• Experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience configuring SAP IS-U billing schemas, rates, facts, operands, billing master data, billing orders, invoicing, and billing-cycle processes.
• Understanding meter-to-cash processes and dependencies across Billing, Device Management, Energy Data Management, FI-CA and related systems.
• Willingness to travel 40–60%.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analyzing billing and invoicing requirements across electric, gas, and water utilities.
• Configuring and supporting billing processes and master data.
• Configuring invoicing, bill output interfaces, and downstream postings with FI-CA.
• Analyzing billing exceptions and root causes.
• Preparing functional designs, config docs, test scenarios, process flows, and other project deliverables.
• Executing unit and integration testing and supporting UAT, regression testing, defect resolution.
• Coordinating end-to-end cross-workstream impacts across multiple teams.
• Supporting time-of-use, interval-based, consumption-based billing per client requirements.
• Travel to meet client needs (40-60%).
• Collaborating with client stakeholders, business users, technical teams, and project leadership to resolve issues.
