Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant to design, configure, test, and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions across utilities. You will translate billing requirements into functional designs and collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver accurate, timely customer bills.

The role involves travel (40-60%) to meet client needs, working with device management, energy data management, FI-CA, and other teams to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Typically, 3–4 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience configuring SAP IS-U billing schemas, rates, facts, operands, billing master data, billing orders, invoicing, and billing-cycle processes.
• Understanding of meter-to-cash processes and dependencies among Billing, Device Management, Energy Data Management, FI-CA, Customer Service, and connected systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements for billing and invoicing across electric, gas, and water utilities.
• Configure and support billing-related master data, rates, and billing orders.
• Configure and validate periodic and non-periodic billing, estimates, rebilling, reversals, and bill simulation.
• Configure invoicing, bill outputs, and downstream postings with FI-CA and related systems.
• Analyze billing exceptions and coordinate end-to-end impacts across multiple workstreams.
• Prepare functional designs, configuration docs, test scenarios, and process flows.
• Execute unit and integration tests and support UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
