EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant in the US to design, configure, test, and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utility clients. You will translate billing requirements into functional designs and work with stakeholders across billing, device management and FI-CA teams.

The role requires 3–4 years of SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, strong analytical skills, and travel up to 60%. Bachelor’s degree and client-facing delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Typically 3–4 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, incl. 3 years hands-on SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing.
• Experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design in a utility environment.
• Experience configuring SAP IS-U Billing schemas, rates, facts, operands, billing master data, invoicing, and billing-cycle processes.
• Experience supporting periodic and non-periodic billing, rebilling, reversals, adjustments, billing exceptions, and bill simulation.
• Understanding of meter-to-cash processes and dependencies among Billing, Device Management, Energy Data Management, FI-CA, Customer Service, and connected systems.
• Experience preparing functional specs, configuration docs, test scenarios, and process flows.
• Experience unit/integration testing and supporting UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, cutover, and production stabilization.
• Experience working with business users, technical teams, and project stakeholders to resolve cross-workstream issues.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to travel 40–60%.

Responsabilités

• Gather and analyze billing & invoicing requirements across electric, gas, and/or water utilities.
• Configure and support SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions, including master data, rate structures, and billing controls.
• Configure and validate periodic and non-periodic billing, estimates, rebilling, reversals, and bill simulation.
• Coordinate billing interfaces and downstream postings with FI-CA and related systems.
• Analyze billing exceptions and root causes involving meter reads, device data, rates, and customer data.
• Prepare functional designs, docs, test scenarios, and process flows.
• Execute unit and integration testing and support UAT, regression testing, cutover, and production stabilization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Device Management, Energy Data Management, FI-CA, Customer Service, and Billing teams.
• Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to client teams and junior members.
