Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant to design, configure, test, and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utilities clients. You will translate complex billing requirements into functional designs and work with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end processes.

Travel to meet client needs is expected (40–60%). A bachelor’s degree is required, with 3–4 years in SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities, including hands-on experience with billing and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–4 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including at least 3 years with SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience configuring SAP IS-U billing schemas, rates, facts, operands, billing master data, invoicing, and billing-cycle processes.
• Experience supporting periodic and non-periodic billing, rebilling, reversals, adjustments, and bill simulation.
• Understanding meter-to-cash processes and dependencies among Billing, Device Management, Energy Data Management, FI-CA, Customer Service, and connected systems.
• Experience preparing functional specifications, configuration documentation, test scenarios, and process flows.
• Experience executing unit and integration testing and supporting UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, cutover, and production stabilization.
• Experience working with business users, technical teams, and project stakeholders to resolve cross-workstream issues.
• Willingness to travel 40-60%.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analyzing requirements for billing and invoicing across electric, gas, and water utilities.
• Configuring and supporting billing and invoicing solutions, including master data, rate structures, and billing orders.
• Configuring billing, estimates, rebilling, reversals, and budget billing as needed.
• Validating invoicing, billing document creation, and downstream postings with FI-CA and related systems.
• Preparing functional designs and project deliverables; executing testing and supporting user acceptance testing.
• Coordinating end-to-end process impacts across multiple teams and systems.
• Providing knowledge transfer and guidance to client teams and junior staff.
