Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant to design, configure, test, and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utilities clients. You will work with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate billing requirements into functional solutions across the meter-to-cash lifecycle.

Responsibilities include gathering requirements, configuring billing schemas, validating invoicing, supporting testing, and coordinating cross-team deliverables.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree is required.
• Typically, no less than 3–4 years of SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including at least 3 years with SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience configuring SAP IS-U billing schemas, rates, facts, operands, billing master data, billing orders, invoicing, and billing-cycle processes.
• Experience supporting periodic and non-periodic billing, rebilling, reversals, adjustments, billing exceptions, and bill simulation.
• Understanding of meter-to-cash processes and dependencies among Billing, Device Management, Energy Data Management, FI-CA, Customer Service, and connected systems.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analyzing billing and invoicing requirements across electric, gas, and/or water utilities, customer classes, and service territories.
• Configuring and supporting billing, estimates, rebilling, reversals, adjustments, budget billing, bill simulation, and exception resolution.
• Configuring and validating invoicing, billing document creation, payment handoffs, bill-output interfaces, and downstream postings with FI-CA and related systems.
• Coordinating end-to-end process impacts and dependencies across multiple teams.
• Supporting time-of-use, interval-based, consumption-based, and other complex billing scenarios.
• Travel to meet client needs is expected (40–60% of the time).
