Placements24 invites a Senior Sanitation Engineer to join a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Upington, Northern Cape. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing sanitation systems to maintain peak hygiene and product safety across production lines.

You will lead SOP development, oversee CIP and COP initiatives, ensure adherence to HACCP/GMP standards, and collaborate with QA, Production, and Maintenance to tackle sanitation challenges while driving continuous improvement.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in sanitation engineering within the manufacturing sector.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing CIP and COP systems.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• CAD proficiency or related engineering tools is a plus.

Mansioni

• Design, develop, and implement sanitation systems and equipment for manufacturing processes.
• Develop SOPs for cleaning, sanitization, and hygiene.
• Oversee validation and verification of sanitation processes to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Quality Assurance, Production, Maintenance) to address sanitation challenges.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international food safety and environmental regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex sanitation-related issues within the manufacturing environment.
• Lead training initiatives for staff on sanitation best practices and the proper use of equipment and chemicals.
• Manage sanitation projects, including budgeting, planning, and execution.
• Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes in sanitation engineering.
