Placements24 is seeking a Site Hygiene Supervisor for our client in Welkom, South Africa. You will lead cleaning teams, implement hygiene management systems, and ensure production areas meet strict cleanliness standards to protect product quality and worker safety.

The role requires 3–5 years in supervision within industrial cleaning, strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and a solid grasp of local health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in industrial cleaning or site hygiene.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices in industrial environments.
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in South Africa.
• Experience leading and motivating a cleaning team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cleaning and hygiene operations in Welkom.
• Develop, implement, and maintain hygiene policies and procedures.
• Supervise, train, and schedule cleaning staff for efficient workflow.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of production areas to ensure hygiene compliance.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Investigate hygiene incidents, identify root causes, implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, quality control, and maintenance to address hygiene concerns.
• Promote a hygiene-focused culture among plant employees.
