Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of sanitation supervision experience in hospitality or healthcare.
• Proven ability to develop and implement sanitation programs.
• Thorough knowledge of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, equipment and safe handling.
• Knowledge of local health and safety regulations relevant to public spaces.
• Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work weekends/public holidays as required.
• A qualification in Hospitality Management or Environmental Health is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce robust sanitation and hygiene policies and procedures.
• Oversee the daily operations of the sanitation team, ensuring areas are cleaned and disinfected to standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Train and mentor sanitation staff on best practices, chemicals, equipment, and safety.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and disposables with cost control.
• Investigate and respond to hygiene concerns or complaints from guests or staff.
• Maintain detailed records of schedules, inspections, training, and inventory.
• Collaborate with department heads to address cleaning needs and overall facility cleanliness.
• Ensure proper waste management and disposal procedures are followed.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes related to sanitation.
