Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Hygiene Supervisor to lead the sanitation program at its Upington facility. You will supervise the hygiene team, implement cleaning protocols, and drive continuous improvement to meet health and safety standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

The role requires strong leadership, meticulous record-keeping, and the ability to train staff while coordinating with operations to maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a hygiene or sanitation management role.
• Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and food safety or relevant industry standards.
• Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop and implement effective cleaning strategies and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the hygiene team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
• Develop, implement, and monitor hygiene and sanitation programs.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Train new staff on hygiene procedures, safety protocols, and the use of cleaning equipment.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Investigate and address any hygiene-related issues or complaints, implementing corrective actions.
