Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Senior Engineer - Systems with strong Software Asset Management (SAM) experience. You will own asset lifecycle, reconcile licenses, support audits, and optimize software costs using ServiceNow SAM Pro.

The role is remote in the United States, requiring 5–7 years of relevant experience and a solid background in CMDB, discovery platforms, and data analysis. Collaboration with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and vendors is essential to ensure governance and cost control.

Qualifications

• Requires SAM experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro and license lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual software audits.
• Strong data analysis skills and knowledge of IT asset management.
• Familiarity with CMDBs and IT-Asset management systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate SAM records including entitlements, licenses, deployments, renewals, and contractual metadata.
• Reconcile purchases, usage, and consumption to identify optimization opportunities.
• Support audits by gathering data, validating positions, and documenting findings.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and vendors to ensure compliance and cost control.
