The role requires 2–3 years in SAM/ITAM, hands-on ServiceNow experience, and strong data analysis and communication skills. NY-based position with steady collaboration across IT and procurement teams.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), or a related field.
• Hands-on ServiceNow experience, particularly with SAM or IT Asset Management modules.
• Strong knowledge of software licensing models, entitlements, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Experience maintaining software inventories and reconciling asset records.
• Experience with software license audits and compliance reporting.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update software asset inventories in ServiceNow.
• Track software discovery data, installations, licenses, and deployments.
• Reconcile software and hardware inventory data and identify discrepancies or unauthorized installations.
• Monitor software license agreements, entitlements, and compliance.
• Conduct license audits and reconcile license consumption against purchases.
• Prepare compliance and asset management reports.
• Support software procurement and evaluate vendor quotes.
• Assist with licensing terms, renewals, and vendor communications.
• Configure and maintain SAM functionality in ServiceNow, including reports, dashboards, and workflows.
• Process and resolve SAM-related ServiceNow tickets and incidents.
• Document SAM processes and identify opportunities for process improvement.
