Job summary

GreatAmerica seeks a Principal Software Engineer to define enterprise-level solution designs and engineering strategy. You will shape architecture, APIs, and integration patterns across platforms while balancing security, cost, and scalability.

You’ll mentor engineers, influence product and technology direction, and ensure governance standards are followed. You will collaborate with leadership and vendors to deliver resilient, scalable software solutions and drive AI-native engineering patterns

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, with Salesforce experience across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud or related areas.
• Expert level in leading technical design reviews and setting standards across teams.
• Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Salesforce security framework.
• Experience with Lightning Web Components and Aura framework.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise solution designs, engineering strategy, and governance standards across multiple platforms.
• Lead architecture, API, eventing, and integration patterns.
• Ensure secure-by-design engineering practices and regulatory readiness.
• Drive reliability, observability, and operational excellence for critical systems.
