Job summary

GreatAmerica is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to define enterprise-level solution designs, engineering strategy, and governance across platforms. You will set reusable patterns, drive OpenAPI usage, and balance reliability, cost, and customer value while partnering with leadership and external vendors.

You will lead cross-team technical decisions, mentor engineers, and shape AI-native engineering patterns and strategy within a Salesforce-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Systems or related field.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud or Experience Cloud.
• Expert level in leading technical design reviews and setting standards across teams.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce security framework and least-privileged architecture.
• Experience with Lightning Web Components and the Aura framework.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APEX, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce APIs.
• Experience integrating systems via REST/SOAP APIs and data integration patterns.
• Strong experience with Git and CI/CD tooling (Gearset)
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, and SAFe environments.
