Job summary

GreatAmerica in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Principal Engineering Leader to guide a high-performing Platform Administrators team, delivering secure, scalable Salesforce-based platforms and enterprise solutions. You will own platform strategy, drive platform adoption, reduce technical debt, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering DevOps and agile practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Enterprise/Salesforce Platform Administration or Systems Engineering.
• 5+ years of technical leadership and people management preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field.
• Experience in regulated environments and with Salesforce/Open Finance platforms.
• Knowledge of Git workflows and SAFe/Agile methodologies.
• Experience with middleware and cross‑platform integrations.
• Ability to evaluate third-party solutions and manage platform governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Platform Administrators, fostering a culture of innovation and learning.
• Define and execute Salesforce platform administration strategy and roadmap.
• Own end-to-end delivery of enterprise Salesforce initiatives and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
• Review major releases, stay current with platform capabilities, and drive adoption.
• Establish controls for privileged access and data governance across platforms.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams for customizations, integrations, and workflows.
• Provide OpenAPI Specifications for external integrations and support agile ceremonies.
