Job summary

ALSAC, part of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, seeks a senior software engineer to provide technical leadership across enterprise applications and data solutions.

You will mentor engineers, drive design and implementation of multi-layered systems, and guide teams in front-end, APIs, and data platforms. The role emphasizes collaboration with business analysts and stakeholders to deliver scalable data services for customer insights, leveraging Salesforce Data Cloud and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable knowledge of current application development techniques, including object-oriented and client/server technologies.
• Professional experience developing software across front-end, back-end, data, and database technologies.
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams with defined roles and responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field with 5–8 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical analysis, design, and development of complex changes across multiple systems; troubleshoot, contain issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Lead and execute technical initiatives spanning multiple systems and applications.
• Mentor Software Engineers I and II; provide training on technical and data analysis, problem solving, and code reviews.
• Engage with stakeholders to support development and enhancement of applications and services.
• Stay current with emerging development tools and technologies; pursue educational opportunities.
• Partner with business analysts and customers to resolve issues and plan for future needs.
• Collaborate with users to understand system usage and identify enhancements.
• Develop, test, debug, document, and maintain complex application programs.
• Act as lead resource for junior engineers throughout the SDLC.
