Job summary

MetLife is seeking a Senior Developer for Sales Technology to design, build, and support secure B2B solutions. You will work in a hybrid model, collaborate with product and analytics teams, and leverage AI-assisted engineering across the application, data, and integration layers.

You will use Python/Java, SQL, REST APIs, and Azure services to deliver scalable, secure workflows and reporting. A strong Cloud+DevSecOps focus helps accelerate value while maintaining enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS, IS, or engineering.
• 4+ years building and running production software systems.
• Hands-on Python and/or Java with ability to design, code, test, and debug.
• Strong SQL and data modeling; validate data and troubleshoot quality.
• Experience with REST APIs, event-driven patterns, or enterprise integrations.
• Cloud development with Azure; CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Secure development practices: auth, secrets, monitoring, logging, production support.
• Agile delivery with backlog refinement, sprints, and release readiness.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support production-ready B2B Sales Technology solutions.
• Build and maintain integration components using Python, Java, SQL, REST APIs and Azure patterns.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, data teams, QA, DevSecOps, and vendors to translate needs into plans.
• Work with Databricks datasets, Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, and Power BI for data flows.
• Develop secure integrations with Salesforce, Seismic, SharePoint, Teams, and other platforms.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development while ensuring engineering accountability.
• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD discipline, and production readiness.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-team dependency conversations.
• Apply secure design and coding practices and investigate production incidents.
