Job summary

MetLife is hiring a Software Engineer to join its Global Technology team in a hybrid role. You will be a full-stack developer building customer‑facing web, mobile and cloud solutions with modern technologies, driving design, delivery and quality across the stack.

You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams, leverage AI tools for development, and work on secure, scalable systems to meet customer needs while advancing digital experiences and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 4 - 5 years of experience with full‑stack software engineering.
• Ability to build, deliver and operate complex, cloud‑based systems.
• Proficiency with at least one web language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP.
• Proficiency with various database technologies and solutions, including both SQL and NoSQL.
• Proficiency with modern web frameworks such as Node.js, AngularJS, React.JS or VueJS.
• Experience and knowledge using AI tools for problem solving and software development.
• Cross functional leadership: organize, motivate, and lead those outside of the team.
• Experience with cloud platforms.
