Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned sales engineer to act as a subject matter expert, guiding direct sales teams and customers on complex technical products and services. You will design and implement advanced sales solutions, drive process improvements, and ensure seamless product integration while supporting field deployments and training.

You will manage deployments, lead client discussions, and mentor peers, with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (BS/BA).
• 5+ years of sales-related experience.
• Proven ability to meet/exceed sales targets.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory record.
• Current auto insurance and reliable vehicle for field visits.
• Advanced knowledge of sales principles and products/services.
• Ability to conduct customer visits in the field.
• Experience managing mid-size to large, complex sales with moderate supervision.
• Strong data analysis and creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead presentations and mentor peers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance to direct sales teams and customers on complex products and services.
• Lead design, development, and implementation of advanced sales solutions.
• Identify and implement process enhancements with product architects and development teams.
• Ensure product integration, troubleshoot/escalate issues, and support sales plans.
• Provide training to sales teams and customers.
• Manage deployment projects and align technical solutions with business goals.
• Lead technical discussions in client meetings.
• Design solutions, support sales presentations, and create prototypes.
• Maintain product knowledge and document systems and processes.
• Acquire new business and conduct customer visits in the field.
• Collaborate with the team from the assigned office location when not in the field.
• Lead presentations and mentor less experienced peers.
