Job summary

Motion Industries in Houston, TX seeks an Operations Manager to develop, manage, and deliver support services to our sales force, acting as liaison between customers, our sales force, and distribution.

The role oversees branch sales support, pricing, invoicing, collections, and inventory management, with emphasis on leadership, communication, and process improvement across the branch.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all sales support activities at the branch.
• Trains sales staff on sales related systems, databases, and processes.
• Provides customer support including order processing, product shortages, delivery dates, and price changes.
• Implements and maintains pricing per established policies.
• Manages collections and outstanding invoices; handles Accounts Payable activities.
• Prepares reports on customer inquiries, sales trends, and service issues.
• Assists customers and suppliers to resolve order problems.
• Manages inventory to meet annual turn goals; replenishes stock as needed.
• May fill in for other lower-level roles within the branch; performs other duties as assigned.
