THE ROLE

PROPERTY OVERVIEW

Cloudland at McLemore Resort is a new Curio Collection by Hilton hotel located on Lookout Mountain, GA. The 245-room hotel features over 20,000 sq. ft. of meeting space with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking McLemore Cove. Onsite amenities include four restaurants, a clubhouse restaurant, a spa, an infinity cliffside pool, hiking trails, and two golf courses.

POSITION PROFILE:

Responsible for developing and executing all sales activities in the assigned market. The role involves building new customer relationships, maintaining existing accounts, and maximizing revenue across rooms, public spaces, food & beverage, and ancillary services. The candidate will solicit, respond to, and negotiate with clients for large and complex group bookings, including meetings and catering, based on market segment and account assignments. Prior resort sales experience is preferred. Role may offer remote work options if located in Atlanta, Birmingham, Nashville, or Florida.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Prospect for new business through outbound calls, emails, and in-person visits.
  • Identify market opportunities and leverage relationships to maximize revenue.
  • Target high-value sales calls to enter new markets.
  • Attend trade shows and conventions to attract group business.
  • Provide timely, competitive proposals and pricing to clients.
  • Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure excellent service.
  • Solicit new and existing business to meet revenue goals via calls, site visits, and correspondence.
  • Follow up promptly on inquiries to generate bookings.
  • Utilize sales tools and systems effectively, including selling all hotel products and services such as golf.
  • Make a set number of prospecting calls weekly and maintain customer database.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Conduct guest site inspections and develop VIP/group resumes.
  • Review daily arrivals for potential new clients.
  • Provide professional, friendly service consistently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Promote a hospitable culture focused on service excellence.
  • Maintain accurate customer profiles and trace systems to meet client needs.
  • Coordinate group activities and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Keep well-organized records for quick reference and service improvement.
  • Build strong customer relationships through regular communication.
  • Apply principles of marketing, sales techniques, and tactics to maximize profits.
  • Follow up on customer inquiries efficiently.
  • Focus on revenue-generating activities and strategic sales planning.
  • Meet activity goals and complete reports accurately and timely.
  • Enhance the hotel’s reputation in the local community.
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Two to four-year college degree or equivalent experience.

Experience: Minimum of five years’ hotel sales experience.

Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage complex projects, delegate effectively, and utilize sales tools like Delphi/Amadeus, Cvent, Cendyn, and Microsoft Office suite.
