Job summary

Spire seeks an ambitious, self-directed Sales Manager to accelerate revenue growth across the Americas and advance the digitization of the global weather and climate ecosystem. Operate with the autonomy of a regional owner to expand Spire’s market presence across financial services and utility sectors, selling forecast data, APIs, and decision-support solutions.

This quota-carrying role requires building long-term client relationships, conducting consultative, value-based selling, and closing

Qualifications

8+ years in sales, business development, or account management selling data products/SaaS/API solutions.
Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
Deep understanding of weather/climate industry or selling into data-driven sectors (finance, energy).

Responsibilities

Own a territory across the Americas and build a robust territory plan.
Drive growth in financial sector and US utilities; position Spire forecasts against use cases.
Exceed quotas through prospecting, qualification, and full-cycle deal execution.
Develop long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Sell consultatively to uncover operational pain points and tailor offerings.
Develop deep product knowledge to communicate value to technical and executive audiences.
Deliver persuasive proposals and respond to tenders; negotiate and close deals.
Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline with rigorous forecasting and follow-up.
Track market trends and competitive movements to inform strategy.
Collaborate with marketing, product, meteorology, and customer success teams.
