Job description

Direct Marketing Solutions is looking for a Senior Sales Executive to join our team. Wherever you may be in your career, DMS could be the place for you!

Position Summary

The Senior Sales Executive (SE) achieves significant growth in company sales revenue and market share by identifying and converting qualified direct mail, print and digital marketing client prospects into long-term, sustained relationships with Direct Marketing Solutions (DMS).

Essential Functions

  • Develops and maintains a lucrative pipeline of new direct marketing business prospects and new client opportunities to create profitable, revenue growth.
  • Establishes new prospective relationships; evaluates their strategic position in the market and industry; and analyzes their business and strategic needs.
  • Closes new integrated direct marketing campaign business each month, quarter, and year based on established sales goals.
  • Keeps abreast of market trends and industry movement that impact DMS clients and prospective base.
  • Studies competitor sales strategies and anticipates new client needs and opportunities accordingly.
  • Collaborates with the Client Services team to identify innovative campaign and service improvements and solutions based on client feedback and market demand.
  • Tracks and manages the prospective pipeline using approved customer relationship and sales management reporting systems.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Completes additional assignments and special projects from the VP of Sales as needed.
  • Demonstrates behavior consistent with DMS values and the Code of Conduct.
  • Learns and adheres to all information technology and data security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Learns and adheres to DMS rules and established policies for workplace health and safety.
  • Adheres to all other DMS policies and procedures.
  • Completes all required compliance training on time and in good faith.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years' successful sales experience in direct mail marketing or similar role.
  • Proven track record of success when developing and executing direct mail campaign strategies.
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills with the ability to think and plan critically.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver powerful, meaningful presentations to prospects and clients.
  • Results-oriented mindset with strong attention to relevant details and follow-through.
  • Highly motivated, dynamic individual with strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with account teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
