Job summary

MCS Puerto Rico is seeking a results-driven sales professional to identify prospects, present company products, and manage follow-up until closing. The role requires knowledge of health insurance sales, CRM usage, and strong relationship-building across producers and agencies.

The ideal candidate will hold a related degree, have 3–5 years in sales or account management in healthcare insurance, and be willing to travel across Puerto Rico with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related areas. At least three (3) years of experience in sales, account management, or related areas, preferably in the Healthcare Insurance Industry.
  • Associate's Degree. At least five (5) years of experience in sales, account management, or related areas, preferably in the Healthcare Insurance Industry.
  • Driver's license valid in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is required. A valid Life and Disability Insurance Agent License and Health Services License is required. (Unlicensed candidates may commit to becoming certified by passing the examination on their first or second attempt.)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential clients and market segments to develop and implement strategic plans for expanding business opportunities.
  • Establishes and maintains excellent business relationships with producers and insurance agencies.
  • Guide clients through the insurance process, ensuring satisfaction with products and services offered.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to design and execute initiatives that enhance product knowledge and improve sales effectiveness across the team.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive strategies and initiatives aimed at generating sales leads and referrals.
  • Ensure calls, client meetings, proposals, and revenue generation are met; track performance against sales goals.
  • Review and validate all documentation related to the sales process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and make informed recommendations for future strategies.
  • Prepare, customize, and deliver commercial sales presentations and proposals.
  • Identify product enhancements or new offerings by remaining updated on industry trends, market activity, and competitor analysis.
  • Travel with a car to different locations in Puerto Rico.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Identify and target potential clients and market segments to develop and implement strategic plans for expanding business opportunities.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert by guiding clients through the insurance process, ensuring their satisfaction with the products and services offered.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to design and execute initiatives that enhance product knowledge and improve sales effectiveness across the team. Plan and execute comprehensive strategies and initiatives aimed at generating sales leads and referrals.
  • Ensure calls, client meetings, proposals, and revenue generation are met. Track performance against sales goals and provide regular updates to management.
  • Review and validate all documentation related to the sales process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities and client interactions, documenting key insights and updates in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and make informed recommendations for future strategies.
  • Prepare, customize, and deliver commercial sales presentations and proposals that effectively showcase the company’s business products and services to clients or potential clients.
  • Identifies product enhancements or new offerings by remaining updated on industry trends, market activity, and competitor analysis.
  • Improves professional and technical skills by attending workshops and reviewing publications on new persuasion and sales techniques. Participates in managing sales, including training on product knowledge and new company processes.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and professional organizations to enhance visibility and network with potential clients and partners.
  • Must comply fully and consistently with all company policies and procedures, with local and federal laws as well as with the regulations applicable to our Industry, to maintain appropriate business and employment practices.
  • May carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned, according to the requirements of education and experience contained in this document.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related areas. At least three (3) years of experience in sales, account management, or related areas, preferably in the Healthcare Insurance Industry.
OR
Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree. At least five (5) years of experience in sales, account management, or related areas, preferably in the Healthcare Insurance Industry.

Certifications / Licenses:
A Driver's License valid in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is required. A valid Life and Disability Insurance Agent License and Health Services License is required. (Unlicensed candidates or those with a provisional license are accepted. If not licensed, candidates must commit to becoming certified by passing the examination provided by the Commissioner of Insurance on their first or second attempt.)
Other:
Car in good condition and available to travel to different locations in Puerto Rico. Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is preferred.
