Job summary

MCS Healthcare Holdings, LLC (MCS) in Puerto Rico seeks a field sales representative to lead orientations and presentations of MCS Advantage products to eligible beneficiaries, in alignment with CMS regulations and company goals. This is a regular, exempt, full‑time role.

You will generate referrals, schedule daily visits, enroll members, and submit forms while meeting sales quotas. The position requires intermediate English and Spanish, a valid Driver’s License, and a Health Services License.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; 3+ years in health insurance sales preferred.
• 60 approved credits (two years of university) plus 1 year sales experience accepted.
• Valid Driver's License and Health Services License required.
• Must have a car in good condition.
• Languages: Spanish and English, intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Generates referrals by participating in activities sponsored or led by the company.
• Submits referred leads within 48 business hours.
• Coordinates daily appointments properly.
• Delivers daily reports presenting the previous day's results.
• Makes at least four daily visits to beneficiaries or providers' residences to create orientation opportunities.
• Submits enrollment forms to the Service Center base.
• Contacts supervisor at least three times daily to validate progress.
• Ensures prospects receive the corresponding orientation.
• Helps enrollment and PCP selection processes and ensures completion.
• Verifies subscriptions before submission to supervisor.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Leads orientations and presentations to sell and/or renew MCS Advantage’s line of business products to potential clients or beneficiaries (as applicable) that are eligible for the Medicare Program, according to the regulations established by CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services), and the company’s goals and parameters.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Generates referrals by participating in activities that MCS sponsors or led by the sales representative.


• Works and submits the results of the referred leads assigned by their supervisor or sales representative within 48 business hours.


• Coordinates the daily appointments properly.


• Delivers daily reports presenting the work results of the previous day.


• Makes at least four daily visits to the beneficiaries or providers’ residences interested in receiving product orientation to create orientation opportunities and/or activities.


• Submits complete enrollment forms to the Service Center base.


• Establish contact via cell phone at least three times a day with their immediate supervisor to validate the progress and results of their daily work plan.


• Ensures that MCS Classicare prospects or clients receive the corresponding orientation.


• Helps beneficiaries with the enrollment and selection of the PCP (Primary Care Provider) processes and ensures they are completed correctly.


• Verifies that all subscriptions are complete before submitting them to the supervisor and that they contain the member's orientation authorization card. If the referral came through telemarketing, the authorization card would not be necessary.


• Meets the assigned sales quotas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: High School Diploma. Minimum three (3) years of sales experience, preferably in the health insurance industry or related areas (i.e., sales coordinator, sales executive, sales assistant, renewals specialist, telemarketing representative)

OR

Education and Experience: 60 approved credits equivalent to two (2) years of university studies and one (1) year of sales experience, preferably in the health insurance industry or related areas, i.e., sales coordinator, sales executives, sales assistant, renewals specialist, telemarketing representative)

“Proven experience may be replaced by previously established requirements."

Certifications / Licenses: A Driver's License valid in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is required. A valid Health Services License is required. (Unlicensed candidates or those with a provisional license are accepted. If not licensed, candidates must commit to becoming certified by passing the examination provided by the Commissioner of Insurance on their first attempt.)

Others: Must have a car in good condition.
