Job summary

Eaton’s North American Sales Division is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer based in Southfield, MI, covering the greater Detroit area with a focus on power distribution solutions.

You’ll work directly with customers and channel partners, manage the full sales cycle from specification through quotation, and collaborate across product lines, operations, and internal stakeholders to deliver customer-centric solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical or commercial field.
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
• No relocation assistance; reside within 50 miles of Southfield, MI; military candidates exempt from area limit.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration or CPT/OPT/STEM OPT for this position.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with key customers and channel partners to grow long-term business.
• Execute sales plans to meet performance targets and requirements.
• Interpret customer plans and specifications.
• Prepare bids and quotations using company guidelines with sound business judgment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product lines, operations, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor market conditions and competitive activities and relay insights to product divisions.
• Assist teammates in training Channel on Eaton products and tools.
• Collect and analyze market intelligence to drive data-based decisions.
• Provide timely planning, quotations, and technical support.
• Plan promotional events with distributors to promote Eaton’s position and achieve sales goals.
