Job summary

Jobot in Houston is seeking a High Growth LV and MV Switchgear Sales Engineer to drive key contractor and end-user accounts in the Houston market.

You will develop and expand relationships, sell engineered electrical equipment on large commercial or industrial projects, lead complex proposals, and negotiate multi‑million‑dollar opportunities. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred and 5+ years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience selling medium- or low-voltage electrical distribution equipment.
• Experience selling engineered electrical equipment on large commercial or industrial projects.
• Ability to assemble and present complex project proposals and negotiate multi‑million‑dollar opportunities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred but equivalent industry experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand relationships with major electrical contractors, EPC firms, consulting engineers, distributors, and end users throughout the Houston market.
• Drive sales of MV/LV switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, and engineered electrical systems.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue large project opportunities from early design through final procurement.
• Build comprehensive project quotations and complete equipment packages that solve customer requirements.
• Lead commercial negotiations while maintaining long‑term strategic customer relationships.
• Partner with engineering, estimating, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution after award.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, forecast future business, and develop strategic account growth plans.
