Job summary

Altana is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer to lead technical work with logistics providers and customs brokers. You will own demos, architecture conversations, and the narrative that moves deals from first call to signed order.

You will partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Implementation, translating field reality into product input and guiding integration paths for complex supply chain environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in pre-sales engineering or related roles selling technical software into trade, customs, logistics, or enterprise supply chain.
• Excellent presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.
• Track record of designing current-state to future-state workflows in multi-stakeholder settings.
• Fluency in systems architecture and integration: APIs, EDI, file transfers, data modeling.
• Ability to map customer problems to Altana solutions.

Responsibilities

• Achieve mastery of the Altana product surface and run demos for brokerage operations staff, IT leadership, and executives.
• Design solutions mapping current workflows to future state and document gaps for customer validation.
• Discuss platform architecture: data models, APIs, EDI, and file-based integration patterns.
• Bridge commercial and product teams, translating field reality into product direction.
• Support sales with use cases for customs and trade, addressing stakeholder needs.
• Contribute to product development with input from customers and stakeholders.
