Heritage Tree Care in Central Texas seeks an experienced Senior Sales & Consulting Arborist to manage an established client portfolio and provide professional arboricultural consulting.
You’ll work with residential, commercial, municipal and professional clients on high-value projects, balancing sales responsibilities with technical judgment, and coordinating with production and office teams. Relocation support may be available.

Position: Full-Time
Earning Potential: $130,000+ at fully ramped production
Heritage Tree Care is looking for an experienced arborist who can combine strong sales ability with advanced technical knowledge, professional consulting and the judgment to manage complex client relationships and projects.
This is not a cold-calling position. You’ll step into an established client base and receive qualified opportunities generated by Heritage. Our work ranges from high-end residential properties to commercial, municipal, institutional, landscape architecture and construction-related projects throughout Central Texas.
We’re intentionally searching beyond the Austin area for the right person. You do not need to bring an existing local book of business. For an experienced arborist considering a move to Central Texas, this is an opportunity to step into established relationships, interesting work and a company with production and office support already in place.
Heritage Tree Care is an established Central Texas tree-care company with experienced crews, a strong client base and the opportunity to work on projects that go well beyond routine residential tree care.
You won’t be expected to build a book of business from scratch. You’ll step into existing client relationships and receive qualified opportunities generated by Heritage.
Heritage works with homeowners, municipalities, school districts, landscape architecture and design firms, contractors, developers and other professional clients throughout Central Texas.
Our work has included Austin’s Hike & Bike Trail, Zilker Park, the San Marcos River and Austin ISD, along with high-end residential properties and complex commercial projects.
This role is intended for someone who wants to do more than sell routine tree work. You may be involved in tree preservation, consulting, construction coordination, municipal and institutional projects, complex removals, plant health care and other situations that require strong arboricultural judgment.
Experienced arborists are trusted to manage their clients, make sound recommendations and use good judgment. You’ll also have experienced production crews, office support, other arborists and direct access to ownership when a project requires additional input.
Heritage supports ISA credentials, continuing education, industry training and continued professional development. There is room to deepen your technical expertise, expand your consulting work and take on more complex clients and projects over time.
The Senior role is producer-first, but it is also a chance to become an important part of the company. Someone who demonstrates strong judgment, accountability and leadership may have the opportunity to explore broader company opportunities.
As a Senior Sales & Consulting Arborist, you’ll manage an established portfolio of Heritage Tree Care clients, respond to qualified sales opportunities and provide professional arboricultural consulting.
You’ll work with residential, commercial, municipal and professional clients, including larger or more complex projects that require strong technical judgment, clear communication and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
Manage an established client portfolio, evaluate tree-care needs, explain recommendations clearly, prepare proposals and follow up consistently. Build strong client relationships and help move qualified opportunities from consultation through approval.
Provide professional arboricultural consulting on tree health, preservation, risk, construction impacts and other technical concerns. Prepare reports, recommendations and supporting documentation when appropriate.
Manage larger or more involved projects that may include contractors, municipalities, school districts, developers, landscape professionals or other stakeholders. Keep scope, communication, expectations and project details organized from the initial consultation through completion.
Manage appointments, proposals, consulting work, client communication, CRM records and active project details accurately and on time. Stay engaged when conditions change or additional follow-up is needed.
Coordinate closely with production and office teams, communicate clearly before work begins and take responsibility for helping ensure what was sold is successfully delivered.
Use your experience to help solve more complicated arboricultural and client situations. Serve as a technical resource when appropriate and contribute practical judgment beyond your own individual accounts.
You’re an experienced arborist who combines strong technical knowledge with good business judgment, clear communication and dependable follow-through.
You’re comfortable discussing scope and price, asking for the work and helping clients make informed decisions without pressure-based sales tactics. You can also handle complex situations, work with multiple stakeholders and manage projects needing more coordination than typical residential tree work.
You work independently but not in a silo. You communicate well with clients, crews, office staff and ownership, know when to involve others and see work through.
You’re also eager to keep growing professionally and can take on greater responsibility over time if the opportunity and fit are right.
Heritage Tree Care offers a compensation package designed to reward strong sales performance, professional consulting and the higher level of experience expected in this role.
$80,000 base salary plus performance-based sales bonuses. At fully ramped production, total compensation from base salary and sales is expected to be approximately $120,000 annually.
Paid arboricultural consulting provides additional income on top of sales compensation. With a typical mix of sales and consulting work, total annual compensation is expected to be approximately $130,000, with additional earning potential based on performance.
Heritage contributes 50% toward the employee’s health-insurance premium, with options for family coverage.
A company vehicle, laptop, smartphone and the arborist tools and equipment needed for the position are provided.
Paid time off and company holidays are included as part of the compensation package.
Heritage supports advanced ISA credentials, continuing education, industry training, conferences and ongoing professional development.
We’re actively interested in experienced arborists from outside Central Texas. You do not need to bring an established local book of business with you. This role comes with existing client relationships, company-generated opportunities and the support of an established production and office team.
For the right candidate, Heritage is open to discussing relocation support.
